If you are planning to visit a perfect romantic and pittoresque place then Santorini is the best choise! It has a unique charme, with its white and blue architecture and the ‘Caldera’s eyebrow’ offers a great view of the Volcano…
We flew from Milan directely to Santorini’s aeroport Kratikos, once arrived immediately out of the airport we found many means of transport, buses, taxis and rental cars, then we decided to take a ride by taxi till the hotel which was settled in Thira in the middle of the west side.
I personally fell in love with its amazing buildings it remided me of the Moroccan’s countryside, the white and blue houses merged in the middle of a deep blue sea, the warm welcoming and every single detail makes it fabulous.
It is very easy to get around Santorini and the best way is by renting a motorbike otherwise you might struggle with parking!
The first two days we visited all the west side, hiked from Oia to Fira, took the steps (700!) from Fira to the Port, took a cable car tour, we’ve done a boat tour to Hot Springs where we jumped in the beach and swam then we get to Volcano where we hiked till the top and enjoyed the panorama.
The boat tour companies offers lots of other options like Thirassia, romantic sunset boat tour and getting to other close islands.
On our last days we decided to jump into history, went for a visit in Ancient Thira and obviousely we did a great shopping in the amazing shops of Fira.
Unfortunately we went there on April and the weather was pretty good but too early for a nice suntan in the beach, so if you are planning to get there in summer then don’t forget to get to the White, red and Black beach wich are all sattled in the south and close one to another.
Santorini offers many other excurtions and beautiful things, no wonders that it’s considered one of the most beautiful Greek’s Islands!
